I completely agree. Overpriced for what it is -- a leather bag with a few thoughtful details and nice colors, but nothing to justify the price. Longchamp was interesting to me for years, but now, I'm turned off by the marketing campaigns. While it's amusing to see university-age students modeling clothing and bags they could NEVER afford, at some point, I feel Longchamp lost focus. As an American who lived a few decades in Asia, I believe Longchamp was viewed as an elegant option with a strong focus on design (the Le Pliage innovation of all those years ago and the classic Roseau bamboo closure). Now, it seems we are seeing a fast fashion approach, but without the fast fashion prices!

Great review and your observations are spot on! I saw this first on Seton's channel in the teal blue color and LOVED it! Then I researched and saw the price and sizes and decided to fall out of love with it 😄 It's cute, but too expensive!

Thanks for the review. I love this bag, it’s on my wish list. However, I do agree that the price point starts high. Considering the small size starts at $800 US, I will wait for some kind of discount. It’s still a very good price compared to similar styles from Miu Miu. This isn’t the only recent bag that’s a premium price from Longchamp. All of their leather bags have really escalated.

This time , the style is basic and nothing justifies this high price. Here in France i can tell you that a bunch of people are beginning to no more have a look at Longchamp due to the crazy price increase. And the saddest thing is that I fear that Longchamp does not care about their historical french customers 🥲 they are strongly orientated on Asian market which i can understand as a company but in Europe Longchamp is a well established brand they should still have a little look at us. I don't have a problem with the price. LC had $900 bags even in the 2000s but unfortunately I don't think they thought this line throughout. I was shocked at the lack of feet considering that's made out of calf skin and at this price range. I have two LC bowling bags from two previous lines and they both had feet. Still it's a nice bag and if I can find one in the $400 range which I probably will eventually I'll probably get it.

Donc pourquoi ces modèles qui coûtaient autrefois 500€ passent à 800€ ? Ça devrait être l’inverse même si je veux bien entendre que le prix de la matière première a augmenté. En comparaison, Lancel est dans les mêmes gammes de prix mais tous leurs sacs sont fabriqués en Italie. Donc, pour Longchamp, je pense qu’il ne s’agit que d’une question d’augmentation de marge…

Il y a déjà eu des sacs chez Longchamp avec un tel prix mais ils étaient vraiment de meilleures factures avec des détails vraiment intéressants. Là, il n'y a même pas de pieds de sac alors que le cuir est plutôt souple, c'est un parti pris mais c'est risqué vu le prix du sac! Pour info Lancel produit aussi beaucoup en Chine (certes l'Italie reste majoritaire toutefois) Je pense que Longchamp veut sortir du spectre de maroquinerie premium. Enfin c'est mon humble avis. I like you a lot and also love the topic, but please let me give you some advice(ahhh😟 please don't think this is in any way anything other than wanting to make your videos even cooler!!!) Your face is very tiny and narrow - you need to zoom in on your face more. We don't need to see so much of the background it can just be a vague suggestion behind you. If you move a little to the side in the frame you can still fit your picture inserts. Please don't think you want to be further away for modesty ... its really better to be closer, or let us see more of your body. Reduce the space above your head. The top down angle is also a little steep - especially since your body is so cut-off. Could you film from a level plane?

Over $1000 for the large Daylong? Looks like a glorified Cosmos - except no feet on the bottom, no exterior zip pocket and not a relaxed structure 😎.
